YORK REGION LOWERS SPEED LIMITS ON 11 SECTIONS OF REGIONAL ROADS MAY 2.

Just another tactic before setting up a toll booth probably.

KERALA SINGLES

Very silly, as it creates gridlock and everyone ends up driving 10km under the speed limit. It's not speed that kills. Distracted driving is the main cause of accidents.

BARBI WILSON-KOIFMAN

All the speed limits drop for a few hundred metres just so the cops can set up radar.

ED LANGER

I wish they would drop the speed on my road - Warden Avenue, south of Bloomington Sideroad - they come down the hill so fast.

KATHRYN HICKS

Strictly cash grab - fill up them coffers.

PAUL WEGMAN

It's all been steadily going down over the years. By 2040 everything will be 25 km/h.

SHAWN HARRY ATTACK

Rural road limits are being dropped to 70 km/hr. Dalton Road in Sutton is 50 km/hr, yet vehicles are doing 80km/hr? No enforcement where schools, pedestrians and multiple business entrances exist.

RON FOSTER

If you slow down in those areas to the posted speed limit, you have about four cars go blazing past you as if you are parked.

MARY MORRISON

We all have to slow down because there are a few cyclists?

No transit, yet they build homes for a commuter town with very limited parking in new build - never mind levels of government - town planners approve it not looking at the big picture.

PATRICIA BOWDEN We have three buses - the number 9 and number 16, and the 71 for GO. That's literally it. They could start by adding at least 10 more lines that connect to Markham stations so it's easier to get anywhere. It is also almost impossible to go west you have to do this massive U to get over to the west end. Spending all this money on parks when transit has been a joke for years.
