Reminder: The first installment of the final tax bill is due June 30

Property taxes are billed in January (interim) and May (final). Two payments are required for each bill. Final bills are mailed out in

May, and payments are due on June 30 and September 29.

All payments must be received by the City on or before the due date to avoid late payment fees of 1.25% per month.

If “Tax Arrears” appears on your bill, it means that at the time of billing, there was an outstanding balance on your account.

Property tax payment options:

Enrol in a payment plan. More details available via barrie.ca/PropertyTaxes

Pay online or by telephone with your bank. * To pay online, you’ll need to add the City as a payee. Search for “Barrie” to add the City as a payee.

Pay in person at your bank branch.*

Mail a cheque, payable to the City of Barrie. * Service Barrie, P.O. Box 400, Barrie, ON L4M 4T5.

Drop off a cheque to City Hall drop boxes. Front entrance at 70 Collier St. or entrance at Worsley St. parking lot.

Catch the Barrie Farmers' Market from 1–5 p.m. at mobile locations on select days throughout the summer!

Pay in person. Cash, cheque or debit payment can be made during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday–Friday (excluding holidays).

* If paying through your bank or mailing a cheque, please allow enough time for payments to be received prior to the due date. Payments made via bank may take several business days.

Your 19-digit roll number, found on your tax bill, is your account number.
