COUNTY LISTS SALARIES OF SENIOR WORKERS AT MUNICIPAL LEVEL

A County of Renfrew survey lists the salaries of top public servants at lower levels of government last year.

Of the 17 municipalities in the county, 11 appeared in the survey. Arnprior was not among them; according to the province's 2021 Sunshine List, the chief administrative officer (CAO) was paid $153,579. It among the highest in the county.

CAOs in the participating municipalities, based on a 35-hour work week, were paid:

• $137,829 to $162,144 — Town of Renfrew

• $123,571 to $157,712 — Town of Deep River

• $122,777 to $144,453 — Town of Petawawa

• $117,852 to $137,241 — Township of Laurentian Valley

• $109,594 to $127,435 — Township of MacNab/ Braeside

• $109,120 to $124,000 — Township of Horton

• $105,325 to $118,973 — Township of Madawaska Valley

• $84,642 to $107,222 — Township of Admaston Bromley

• N/A — Township of Head, Clara and Maria.

The survey includes other top level employees, including roads superintendent, deputy clerk-treasurer, chief building officials, community development co-ordinator, administrative assistant, receptionist/secretary and waste site attendant.
