CALABOGIE RESIDENT CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING, DANGEROUS OPERATION

On Feb. 14, at approximately 10 a.m., Renfrew Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint in the Town of Renfrew.

As a result of the investigation, Philip John Munford, 50, of Calabogie, was charged under the Criminal Code with: operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs; dangerous operation; and fail to comply with probation order.

Charges have not been proven in court.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Renfrew court on April 5.

The Renfrew Detachment of OPP investigated 198 calls for service between Feb. 13-21.

IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

On Feb. 19, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Renfrew OPP officers were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check on Burnstown Road in Greater Madawaska Township.

As a result of a traffic stop, Robert William Gavin, 58, of Horton Township, was charged under the Criminal Code with: operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs; and operation while impairedblood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with: drive motor vehicle - no licence; and driver - fail to properly wear seat belt.

The charges have not been proven in court.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Renfrew court on April 19.

MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISIONS

Renfrew OPP investigated eight motor vehicle collisions between Feb. 13-21.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Renfrew OPP officers investigated seven domestic disputes, two of which charges were laid.

On Feb. 13, Renfrew OPP were dispatched to a domestic dispute in Arnprior. One person was charged under the Criminal Code with: assault - two counts; and uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke at a later date.

On Feb. 17, Renfrew OPP were dispatched to a domestic dispute in Renfrew. One person was charged under the Criminal Code with: mischief and: theft under $5,000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke at a later date.
