Incumbent MPP John Yakabuski is the Ontario Progressive Conservative candidate for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke.

NAME: John Yakabuski

AGE: 64

PARTY: Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario

PREVIOUS POLITICAL EXPERIENCE: Served one term on council in the Village of Barry's Bay 1997 to 2000. MPP for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke since 2003. Served in various roles, including Opposition House Leader and Chief Whip. In government has held two cabinet portfolios including transportation and natural resources and forestry.

TOP THREE ISSUES: Rebuilding the economy and bringing good jobs to the valley by investing in the promotion and training of skilled tradespersons so that we have the workers that fit the job.

Continuing with the record infrastructure investments we have made in the riding. From highways to health care, to schools and municipal projects, we will continue to prioritize improvements that are vital to our quality of life, including high-speed internet in every home by 2025.

Focusing on affordability and keeping costs down, helping people keep more so that they can keep more of what they earn. By cutting the gas tax and eliminating licence plate sticker fees, we are doing just that.

As always, my number 1 priority is the people of our riding. I have a long record of serving and will continue to do just that. My experience and proven commitment is something people know they can rely on.
