A friendly reminder to the comment that Canal Park is an eyesore and an important news flash — not everything on planet Earth is here for human consumption and enjoyment.

I suspect the dozens of fish and bird species: ducks, geese, swans, thousands of insects, small mammals, vulnerable butterflies and even our canine friends who are out for strolls, are over the moon with this eyesore.

Let's not forget the oxygen-rich flora and yep, many that we humans consider "weeds" are a necessary and essential part of a complex chain of human survival.

Not to be cheeky, but last I checked, oxygen is fairly high up on the list!
