DUNDAS STUDIO TOUR: 5 THINGS TO KNOW

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the first Dundas Studio Tour, and it's back to a full roster of studio locations and artists. Here are five things to know about the Dundas Studio Tour.

• The Dundas Studio Tour runs Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, in seven studio locations with 30 participating artists, including fine artists, potters, jewellers, designers and more.

• The Dundas Studio Tour was founded in 1998 by a small group of artists with the vision to create a yearly local tour for area talent. Since then, the Dundas Studio Tour has grown to become one of the most recognized studio tours in Ontario with each year bringing a combination of seasoned and new artists.

• In keeping with the 25th anniversary milestone, this year's Studio Tour theme is "Renewal," with Studio Tour artists creating new and unique pieces for the 25th anniversary tour.

• During COVID-19 shutdowns, organizers wanted to let people know they were still here but needed to stay safe; in 2020, the event took a hiatus in keeping with COVID protocols. In 2021, a smaller Studio Tour took place.
