HOW WOULD YOU GRADE THE PROVINCE'S RESPONSE TO COVID?
Ford Conservatives demonstrated utter incompetence during the pandemic. Sure, no one had a blueprint for dealing with an unprecedented public health crisis. However, the pandemic can't be an excuse for a government to keep repeating the same mistakes.
They were also slow to expand testing capacity and vaccine clinics in hot spots. Although they love to call nurses, "heroes," they passed Bill 124 to cap their wage increase. Students experienced significant loss of learning over the last two years because of the government's failure to provide schools with necessary PPE and increase ventilation.
IF ELECTED I PLEDGE TO: work day and night to ensure a fairer community for all constituents. Having lived in this riding for nearly 30 years, I understand the pressing issues and pledge to establish economic dignity through affordable housing, child care, a living wage and small business support, strengthen our public health care and education system, ensure our seniors receive the utmost level of care, and combat the climate crisis.
