Preserving Hamilton's farmland was a key election issue on many people's minds at an event last month at Manorun Organic Farm in Copetown. In the words of farmer Chris Krucker, shown above: "We want to plant trees, not foundations... We need to build a food system right here, in our backyard, where food travels a short distance."
