BURK'S FALLS MAN WINS BIG WITH LOTTERY SCRATCH TICKET

A 66-year-old Burk's Falls resident has won big with a scratch ticket purchased locally.

Kenneth Turner said he's an occasional lottery player. He took home his $100,000 win by playing OLG's Instant Gift Pack.

"I buy tickets when I have some extra change in my pocket. I treated myself to the Instant Gift Pack," he said. "When I saw I matched the number 33 and what I had won, I was so surprised I almost fell off my bed!"

When Turner brought his ticket to the store, he watched the clerk's eyes widen.

"I was so excited I couldn't sleep for about five days — I just couldn't believe it was true."

Turner said he is grateful for this win at this time in his life.

"I haven't really thought about what to do with the money yet, but I think there will be a new vehicle in my future. It's such an unbelievable experience," he said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Burk's Falls Kwik Way on Ontario Street in Burk's Falls.
