A fire ban is now in effect in Armour township. Fires are forbidden between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The third Friday coffee house is returning to the Burk's Falls Legion on May 20 at 7 p.m. Don't miss out on this chance to enjoy an evening of local talent. Bring your friends and let's fill the legion hall. Our area is fortunate to have such high-quality entertainment available to us.

Here are the results of the Burk's Falls Young at Heart senior's club May 5 euchre tournament. Jackie Manning claimed the most winning hands and moon shot.

Well done Jackie. Sandra Reese came in second and Chester Weinhold was third. Chris Middleton took home the door prize.

Friday euchre is open to anyone who wants to spend an afternoon having fun and meeting new friends. Games start at 1:30 p.m.
