FUN WITH FRIENDS AT THE WELLNESS HUB

GBF COMMUNITY SERVICES OFFERING WEEKLY GET-TOGETHERS

Have some fun this summer and make a few new friends with the help of GBF Community Services.

The agency is hosting weekly Fun with Friends sessions at the Wellness Hub at 19 Elm St. Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings, which are an informal way to get out, socialize, do some fun activities and learn about an important topic or organization in west Niagara.

Doors open at 2 p.m. and the speaker presentations start at 3 p.m. For more information call 905-309-5664 ext. 28.

Here's a list of the upcoming Fun with Friends dates and what's planned:

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 22: Town of Grimsby programs, events and services. The town's recreation supervisor Krista Bowie will share some of the programs the municipality is offering that promote wellness.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29: Club Wellness Niagara. Christina Milloy shares the services and support you can find through Club Wellness Niagara, and visitors can participate in interactive recreational activities.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 6: From Stress to Wellness. Wendy Scheers shares some tips on how to practise basic meditation and

mindfulness. The down-to-earth approach can be done by anyone and participants don't even have to leave their chair.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 13: Cupcake Decorating Contest. Few things can put a smile on a person's face than a beautifully decorated cupcake. Don Woods leads this session that includes prizes. Toppings and equipment provided. Children welcome.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 20: The Indispensable Guide to Ontario's Long-Term Care System. Karen Cumming provides insights and practical tips on helping you and your family through the process of accessing long-term care.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 27: Lunch and bingo. Led by Lindsay Dressel, join in with friends from Maplecrest Retirement Village to enjoy lunch and play bingo, and perhaps win a prize. Please note the start time: 1 p.m.
